The sole halfling nation of Hyerune, Pheldore enjoys a highly strategic location between the Brightwater Lake and the Driftwind Sea. The Everflow River which joins these two bodies of water serves as a major gateway connection east and west. Although mostly an agrarian realm, merchants continually ply their trade and journey across the well maintained roads and waterways of this land offer paying a moderate tax into the prince's coffers.

The lands of Pheldore are some of the most fertile in the region and farming is by far the largest profession in this realm. The common folk of the land produce a tasty vegetable chowder that is known by many. Pheldore also receives moderate levels of rainfall and a fairly stable weather pattern throughout much of the year.

The Prince of Pheldore is known as a highly skilled diplomat and politician. He has managed over the years to maintain relative peace as have his ancestors before him tending to take a position of neutrality in most outside affairs. The royal household has had the wisdom to erect a series of watch towers along the shores of the Everflow to protect river traffic and merchant caravans. Of course, they also charge a nice little tariff on all river traffic to help support these towers and their defense. The Great River Road is a government maintained system that runs along the northern bank of the river and connects all of the towers. Multiple offshoots branch from this road and navigate across much of the principality forming a network of roadways. This system allows for much speedier communication and travel as well as troop movements should the need arise.
