This section is devoted to the many unique groups and individuals that population the World of Hyerune for it is the people that make a world unique. As this list grows, links will eventually be added to allow you to click on a name to view the game statistics if available.

This list will be presented in alphabetical order except for the first entry. The Archmage of Hyerune is listed first since he is one of the most powerful and well known individuals of campaign world.

Amunra Sundancer  (Priest-King of Anubia)- Amunra came to the throne of Anubia at the age of 24 upon the death of his father Shadunra. His years of religious training in the Church of Anu prepared him amicably for the governing of a nation. Amunra is a middle-aged Zentradi male with graying hair and bright eyes that reveal the king's good nature. Amunra is a highly skilled diplomat and very charismatic, as should be expected in one said to be a direct descendent of the sun god himself. The Priest-King's chief concerns are the protection of his borders since the militaristic nation of Nimeiria to the West and the barbaric nomads of the southern deserts pose almost a constant threat to national security. Bresil Oakthorn- Bresil is a powerful sorcerer/druid of the Withering Wood. He has lived in that forsaken woodland for so long few know of his actual origin. In any case, he is said to be of mixed Aldari-Filani heritage and a devotee of Endorie, the nature goddess. His druidic abilities are said to be quite formidable and he often uses his wild shape ability to transform into a bird of prey to keep an eye on his domain from the air. Bresil resides in a simple thatched cottage with few fortifications but has befriended a number of the animals and beasts in the region. He once called on the aid of a great dire bear to help drive off a small band of orc maruaders who sought to claim his woodland home for their own. (N male half-elf, Sor 9/Drd 8)

Finegal Brightstone (King of Bediwyr)- Leader of the only gnome nation on Hyerune, Finegal is a popular and good natured monarch, much loved by his people. Although possessing typical gnomish joviality, Finegal has a stately regal bearing that is exhibited during various state occassions. King Finegal is said to have the significant powers of both a wizard and a bard. He ascended the throne of Bediwyr at the tender gnomish age of 176 years after the tragic death of his father King Naethwyn from a poisoned goblin arrow during one of the many skirmishes at the foothills in the North of the kingdom. Gloredhel, the Provider An old gold dragon of great power, Gloredhel dwells in a remote and secret shrine hidden in the vales of the Mystic Mountains near the northern reaches of the Kindgom of Valoria. She well known for her skills at divination and healing and has been known to dispatch advice to the kings of Valoria on a number of occasions in the past. Her shrine is said to be filled with priceless gold artifacts of great beauty. (LG female dragon noble)

Gwydion, the Rivermage- Gwydion is an unusual wizard from the Kingdom of Nehron. His parents were simple farmerfolk from a small town near the headwaters of the Andurine River. Hard times forced his parents to sell their only son into indentured servitude to the local landholder. While in this household, Gwydion gained the attention of the local hedge wizard who paid off the debt and took the boy as his new apprentice. Gwydion learned much magic from his master until the old wizards untimely death at the hands of ogre mauraders. Gwydion fled with all of his former masters books of knowledge and spellcraft. He is an Aldari male about 6'1" with a thin build and scragly facial hair, almost weasel like in appearance. It is fitting that he has a weasel familiar. Gwydion is quite eccentric but quite powerful and not to be triffeled with lightly. He dwells in a small hovel near the city of Trowbidge near the White Sea. He is said to have some skill as a water elementalist. (CN male human, Wiz 7/Rog 3)

Justinian Wolfheart (the Paladin-Mage)- Definitely a force to be reckoned with, Justinian combines the powers of both a paladin and a wizard having achieved significant skills in both classes. The Paladin-Mage began his illustrious career as a simple mage, though a devout follower of the god Galadine. After numerous successful adventures, he felt the calling of his deity to take up the mantle of paladinhood. Now he is a champion of the right and virtueous. Justinian is a kind and noble Aldari male from the Kingdom of Valoria in his late thirties. He possesses a very commanding presence and is quite charismatic. He is often accompanied by a small retinue of knights and squires as well as a small contingent of Galadinian clergy. (LG male human, Pal 5/Wiz 10)

Leoric III(King of Pelinore)- Although a powerful fighter in his day, Leoric has become a complete failure as a king. The monarchs of Pelinore have always had a difficult time maintaining control over the kingdom since the various noble lords hold great amounts of wealth and power. This, combined with the fact the Leoric is rather small minded and weak willed, has lead to almost total anarchy at least in terms of any central government. (N male human, Ftr 12)

Mirabilis, the High Mage- Mirabilis is the respected head of the ruling council of mages that govern the Free City of Arcania along the serene south banks of the Springwater Lake. The High Mage was a junior member of the council for quite a number of years but was unanimously elected to the position of High Mage because of his skills as a shrewd diplomat. Mirabilis is wise but somewhat calculating in his dealings with other nations and cities. Being no fool, Mirabilis keeps one eye on the City of Knaves to the west knowing that the Prefect of Nimrodel is always after the secrets found within the City of Mages. (LN male human, Wiz 17)

Niniath, Queen of Eileania- Niniath rules the mysterious elven realm of Eileania, an island nation in the White Sea. She is old, even by elven standards, approaching her 1800th birthday on the 67th day of Silversnow (Elven Calendar). In all her years on the Lavendar Throne, she has never married and so the crown will pass on to her only surviving brother, Prince Orionel upon her death. Niniath is an introspective ruler and relies on her council of seers and mytics to help her make any major decision. The queen is an accomplished wizard in her own right and possesses some bardic talents as well. (CG female fair elf, Wiz 11/Brd 2)

Theodane XXII (Emperor of Brynthia)- Theodane ascended the Imperial Throne of Brynthia at the age of 34 upon the death of his father Theodrik II. His entire life was spent training and preparing for his eventual rulership and so he has all the aspects of a lawful monarch. Theodane is well-mannered, straightforward and very matter-of-fact. He never hesitates to speak his mind yet still values the opinions of his viziers. He spent a number of years in devotion to Khorda, the god of fate, and so has some skill as a cleric in addition to his arcane spell-ability and fighting prowess. (LN male human, Clr 6/Wiz 2/Ftr 4)
