Soulbane

A magical weapon with a very unnatural hate, Soulbane is an accursed blade crafted by the legendary wizard Argmoth the Wretched over a century ago in the land of Glathion. The sword itself radiates a strong presense of evil and good-aligned beings would be best advised not to touch it. It was said that Argmoth was insane and had a great hatred for all life, even his own. He crafted the blade in order to be used as a weapon with which one could snuff out life forces one soul at a time.

Soulbane possesses the following magic:

It is a +2 longsword.
It has the Keen, Souldrinking and Unholy special abilities. Souldrinking is a special ability detailed in the "Book of Vile Darkness" published by Wizards of the Coast.
Soulbane has an alignment of Chaotic evil.
The blade is intelligent with a score of Int 15, Wis 10 and Cha 15. The weapon has an Ego of 17.
Soulbane has the ability to speak using the languages of Common, Elf or Orc. The weapon may also communicate with its owner via telepathy.
The weapon has the Darkvision ability and may see and hear within a radius of 60 feet.
Supernatural Ability: Soulbane has an active and continuous Deathwatch power as per the spell of the same name.
Spell-Like Abilities: Soulbane can cast darkness and hold person each 3/day. The Caster Level of these abilities are at 16th level with a Will DC=16 for the hold magic.
The cursed sword has a Special Purpose to slay all living sentient beings. To carry out its Special Purpose, Soulbane can also cast a Mass Inflict Light Wounds 1/day. This special purpose power is used at 16th Caster Level with a Will DC=18.

Current Status: The current whereabouts of Soulbane is unknown. The evil sword was known to constantly attempt to overcome its wielder and thus force the hapless being to slay any living creature in sight, including friends and allies if it felt the need. Many former owners of this fearsome weapon were driven insane by its dark magic.
