According to Aldarian mythology, Phaedra was once a beautiful High Priestess of the love goddess Aersiline. Phaedra was so beautiful in fact that many considered the cleric to be the most lovely mortal on all of Hyerune. The High Priestess received so many accolades on her appearance from those around her that she became increasingly vain about her looks. Her conceit eventually got the best of her when she dared to compare her beauty to her own patron goddess. In a fit of jealousy, Aersiline struck down her former servany killing her on the spot. However, it is rumored that Phaedra's most prized possession survived as a continuing legacy- her magical mirror.
The Mirror of Phaedra appears as a small hand-held silver mirror etched with intricate designs of entwining ivy leaves, birds and flowers. The mirror weighs about 3 pounds and seems to be just a normal, well-crafted mirror. The Mirror of Phaedra is said to possess great powers of charm and enchantment. Anyone coming into possession of the mirror with receive a +2 circumstance bonus on all Charisma checks. The mirror is also able to cast an alter self effect on the user at will which allows the user to appear as an extremely attractive member of its species. The effect lasts for as long as the user desires and as long as the mirror is held. The effect can not be dispelled.

Side Effects: The user of this magical artifact will fall under the same curse that befell its creator. The user will become increasingly vain and narcissistic. She will believe that she is the most attractive being in Hyerune and that her opinion is the only one that matters.
Suggested Means of Destruction: Shatter the mirror by capturing the reflection of the Queen of the Medusae or dip the mirror in the Fountain of Loves Pure Light at the heart of the Plane of Celestria.
