Gloryseeker

The magical longsword known commonly as "Gloryseeker" is a weapon of great enchantment. It is said to have been crafted in the early years of the age during the founding of the Kingdom of Rendore when that war-torn nation was still in its infancy. Widely attributed to the Archwizard Ortheon, the founder of the 'War Wizards,' the blade Gloryseeker was to become a symbol of the faith and steadfast purpose of the Rendorean Armies. The magical blade was to be wielded by the war-captains against the rising horrors of Argonak.

Gloryseek possesses the following magic:

• It is a +3 longsword
• The weapon has the Holy and Defending special abilities.
• The blade is intelligent with an Int 10, Wis 13 and Cha 13. The sword also has an Ego of 9.
• Gloryseeker may communicate with its wielder through the use of empathy. The sword can also "see" and "hear" all that occurs within a 60 ft. radius of the weapon.
• The weapon is aligned Chaotic good.
• Spell-Like Abilities: Gloryseeker can cast bless and cure moderate wounds each 3/day. These spell-like abilities have a Caster Level of 9.
• As an intelligent weapon, Gloryseeker exhibits a deep hatred of all evil humanoids but hobgoblins in particular. It will seek to slay any evil humanoids it encounters possibly forcing its wielder into combat if it is able to overcome the wielder's will.

Current Status: Gloryseeker was eventually lost in combat during the early years of the 1000 Year War. It has been known to appear occasionally in the hands of various would-be heroes throughout the world of Hyerune.
