Holding eternal vigil over the Gates of the Damned, the dread gateway into the Underworld domain of Kharon, god of the dead, Gorgal maintains constant guard against those who seek to escape from within or rescue a lost love from without. Some legends state that the Two-headed Devil Giant is an offspring of Kharon himself implying that Gorgal is at least partially divine. In any case, he is extremely powerful and the perfect sentry since he requires neither food nor rest and is completely immune to enchantments and charm.

Gorgal appears as a fiendish ettin with two vicious male heads atop a humanoid body. He uses his two heads to keep a constant vigil on all who approach allowing only Kharon, his minions or the dead to pass. He allows only the god and his minions to leave however.
Combat
Gorgal will begin an attack by hurling his javelins and using his spell-like abilities to cause as much damage before engaging in melee. He will often strike the most powerful looking opponents with his crushing despair and fear following up with a stinking cloud centered at the heart of the enemy forces. Before approaching an enemy with his morningstars, he will protect himself with an unholy aura and a magic circle against good if the time allows. He will reserve his greater dispel magic ability to disable an enemy spellcaster's protections and summon additional devils if the enemy proves resistant to magic.
