DENETHOR (Father of the Mountain)- god of dwarves, mountains, mining and metals. Creator of the dwarven race, Denethor is the head of the dwarf pantheon and the husband of Aredhel. He is patron of miners and metalworkers and many great dwarven artifacts have been created in his name. He has the rank of a High god and dwells in the region of Celestria known as Mountainheart. He is the patron of brown and black dwarves in particular. His clergy are always male and often serve as high level advisors to the king or chieftain of the local clan.
AREDHEL (The Hearth Mother)- goddess of the hearth, honesty and dwarven fertility. Aredhel is the wife of Denethor and viewed as the patroness of the home and dwarven women in particular. Most dwarf homes will keep a small statue or shrine dedicated to the goddess near the hearth or fire pit. She is viewed mainly as a tender healer but can be stirred to great anger if the sanctity of the home is threatened. Most priests of Aredhel are female and the Hearth Mother stresses in them the importance of child rearing and maintaining a safe and clean home. Temples are often connected to orphanages. She has the rank of Intermediate goddess and resides with her husband in Mountainheart on the plane of Celestria. Since she has an affiliation with fire, as the goddess of the hearth, she is viewed as patroness of red dwarves.
BALINDHAL (The Barter Lord)- god of trade, commerce and merchants. Balindhal is the patron of merchants and commerce. He is viewed as a rather greedy deity with a great love of gold but never at the expense of stalling trade. The church sponsors trade fairs and bazaars and the priests of the Barter Lord are sometimes called to serve as arbitrators in trade disputes since they are forbidden from aligning themselves with a particular trading guild. Balindhal has the rank of Lesser god and resides in the Eternal Crossroads in the region known as the Grand Marketplace.
DURNIN (The Runeaxe)- god of combat and battle readiness. Durnin is the dwarven war deity and patron to dwarf fighters, warriors and paladins. He always carries his magical waraxe called "Orcutter" as he is a great foe to that vile race. Durnin has the rank of Intermediate god and resides in the Twilight Lands in the area known as the Battlehalls.
PENDRA (Lady of the Steady Hand)- goddess of discipline, purity and obedience. Pendra is the devoted daughter of Denethor and Aredhel and represents the ideal dwarf offspring. She is pure of heart and devoted to her parents and the dwarven way. She is patroness of dwarf monks in particular. Her cult tends to be quite a passive one more geared toward meditation and quiet solitude. She has the rank of lesser goddess and resides with her parents in Mountainheart on the plain of Celestria.
NAMARIE (The Forest Mother)- goddess of elves, forests, woodlands and longevity. Namarie is the creator goddess of the elven race and represents the epitome of the elven ideal- respect for the natural world, freedom of the individual, cooperation to achieve a goal and a great love of magic. She is viewed as a powerful warrior-goddess carrying a longbow and longsword but she is an accomplished spellcaster as well. Namarie is the sister of Sheolba, the goddess of the dark elves. The Forest Mother has the rank of High goddess and resides in a region of the Elfhold on the plane of Spectral Vale known as the Everwood where it is always green and eternally spring.
ARVANDIL (The Foeseeker)- god of archery, retribution, defense and bowyers. Arvandil is the elven war deity and his clerics are called to protect all elf lands and guard borders against evil. Priests are sometimes charged with bringing evil-doers to justice and will therefore often multi-class as cleric/rangers. Arvandil has the rank of Intermediate god and resides in Elfhold on the Spectral Vale. He fights with an enchanted composite long bow called "Foeseeker" from whence he gets his name.
FAIRIEL (The Charmed One)- goddess of enchantment, charm and elvish fertility. Fairiel is the patroness of elvish fertility and therefore also associated with marriage and elf children. She is the elf goddess of beauty and romance but also seen as the goddess of magic due to her enchantment portfolio. Many elf wizards and sorcerers will pay this goddess homage. Her avatars are always beautiful. Clerics of the Charmed One may be either male or female but must be lovers of beauty and grace. Most will also be skilled in some form of art. Worship serves involve singing, music and circle dancing. Her domain in Elfhold is said to be centered around a great, sentient ancient oak tree said to be as old as the world itself. The weapon Fairiel fights with, known as "Glamourwood" is said to have been carved from a fallen limb of that very tree. It is a source of great power. Fairiel has the rank of am intermediate goddess.
NIDWYN (Brother of the Lost)- god of curiosity, wanderlust, long journeys and independence. Nidwyn is the fun-loving and unpredictable patron of elven bards and rogues. Although welcome in Elfhold, he maintains a separate domain on the plane of Ethyria known as the Shifting Plains. He spends most of his time wandering the multiverse. According the elven mythology, Sheolba, the drow goddess, tried to corrupt Nidwyn and cause him to betray Namarie and the other elven powers. Nidwyn was able to trick the demon goddess into believing that he would follow her only betray her in the end while uncovering a number of her dark plots. His clergy is often on good terms with the priesthood of Nim, the halfling god of rogues. Nidwyn has the rank of a lesser god.
SHEOLBA (Demon Queen of Shadows)- goddess of the dark elves, shadows, darkness, hate and bats. Sheolba is the sister goddess of Namarie, the head of the elven pantheon but she grew jealous of her sister and lead a rebellion against the elves of light over a millenia ago. The dark elves and their foul goddess lost the battle and were forever exiled- Sheolba to the Realm of Demons and the dark elves to the sunless underworld of Darkhold. The Demon Queen of the Dark Elves now merely plots and schemes to one day overthrow her sister and destroy all the elves of the upper world. She has the rank of Intermediate goddess and resides in Infernia in the region known as the Shadowpits. She is often depicted in religious art riding a giant bat.
GNARDA (The Gnomefather)- god of gnomes, hills, ingenuity, humor and invention. Gnarda is said to have created the entire gnome race and is the head of the gnome pantheon and the husband of Berylie. He is the most powerful of the gnome gods and has the rank of High god. He often teaches his followers the value of power through patience and gnomes view the Gnomefather as a kind and gentle father figure with a twinkle in his eye and guiding words on his lips. He resides in the Dreamrealm in the region known as the Rainbow Vale in the Dream Hills.
BERYLIE (The Glorystone)- goddess of gems, burrows and gnomish fertility. Berylie is the wife of Gnarda and the patroness of female gnomes as well as the gnome burrow home. Her clerics are generally stationary and remain to defend the community from danger. Gemstones are considered a sacred gift from the goddess. With her portfolio of the underground burrow, she is sometimes also associated with burrowing animals and is viewed as a nature deity as well. She is often the patron of gnome druids. Berylie has the rank of lesser goddess and resides with her husband in the Dream Hills of the Rainbow Vale on the plane of Dreamrealm.
GWINDOR (Lord of the Unseen)- god of illusions, deception, trickery and concealment. Gwindor is the playful trickster god of the gnomish pantheon. He teaches his faithful techniques and skills to survive in the harshness of the world. The priests teach that tricks should never harm the innocent but can be deadly to an enemy. He is often viewed as the gnome god of magic due to his affiliation with the art of illusion. He has the rank of lesser god and resides in the area of the Spectral Vale known as the Hiding Holes, a region of burrows cloaked with mists and illusions.
MALEDRIK (The Blightlord)- god of blight and decay. Maledrik is the patron of evil gnomes. He is a greedy and faithless power who cares for no one but himself. Even his followers are left to their own devices, however, clerics of the Blightlord who betray him are said to have their souls devoured by the god in the afterlife. His realm of the Blighted Burrows on the plane of Infernia is a decayed system of seemingly endless tunnels in a rocky region. Souls of evil gnomes prowl these burrows and attack any source of life or light. Maledrik has the rank of a lesser god.
ORDLIN (The Gatekeeper)- god of vigilance, borders and gates. Although normally a jovial and friendly people, gnomekind is still watchful of their enemies and Ordlin is about as close to a god of war as they come. He is more of a protective power than a bloodthirsty cutthroat. Ordlin has the rank of intermediate power and resides in the Great Watchtower on the plane of Twilight Lands near the border with the plane of Gloomrealm.
ALMADORA (The Great Mother)- goddess of halflings, community and pastures. Almadora is the great creator goddess of the halfling race and her holy symbol, a triangle inside a circle, represents the three basic tenets of the goddess: Faith, Family and Field. She is always pictured as a loving and nurturing Mother Goddess but one who is fiercely protective of her children. Almadora has the rank of High goddess and resides on the plane of Celestria in the area of the Bright Fields known as the Heavenly Home.
BRINDA (The House Mother)- goddess of handicrafts, home and halfling fertility. Brinda is the simple goddess worshiped by the common halfling and many halfling females. She is the protectress of the halfling hole and home. As the goddess of handicrafts, many of her clerics will likewise possess some level of craft skill in one of the handicrafts such as weaving. Brinda was the rank of lesser goddess and resides in the Bright Fields on the plane of Celestria.
NIM (The Winsome Rogue)- god of thieves, rogues and mischief. Nim is the patron of halfling thieves and rogues. Despite his chaotic nature, Nim has on many occasions come to the aid of the other halfling deities in time of need and is therefore welcome in the Bright Fields, though not necessarily trusted. Nim has the rank of lesser god and resides on the plane of Ethyria. Thieve's Guilds with a predominate halfling membership will often have some small shrine dedicated to the Winsome Rogue.
PERIWINKLE (Keeper of the Garden)- goddess of gardens, abundance, harvests and the kitchen. Periwinkle is the halfling nature goddess though she represents nature at the home. Halfling myths tell the tale of how the Keeper of the Garden taught the earliest halflings to be self-sufficient by growing their own food. Halfling druids will often devote themselves to her faith. She has the rank of intermediate goddess and resides in the Gardens of Delight on the plane of Dreamrealm.
PHANDEL (Shield of the Faithful)- god of protection, safety, self-defense and guardians. Phandel is the halfling war deity although he represents the art of defense rather than offense. His clergy will often multi-class as cleric/fighters or cleric/rangers and serve in the community militia. Halfling paladins also venerate this deity. Phandel's magic shield is said to possess the powers of spell turning. He has the rank of intermediate god and dwells in the Bright Fields on the plane of Celestria.
GHEREG (Lord of All)- god of orcs, half-orcs, expansion, conquest and territory. Ghereg is the great creator god of the orcs and the husband of Nakhra. He is a strong martial deity and represents the ideal male orc image that stresses brawn over brains. Ghereg pushes his clerics to drive the orc tribes ever forward, expanding their holdings. He was the rank of High god and resides in a rank fortress known as the Iron Citadel in the Orcrift on the plane of Infernia.
NAKHRA (The Broodmother)- goddess of submission, orc fertility and female orcs. Nakhra is the great-mother goddess of the orcish pantheon and the wife of Ghereg. Though merely a lesser goddess, orc females hold the Broodmother in high esteem. In a patriarchal society, Nakhra represents the female role of mother, wife, mistress and subordinate to the male role. Priestesses of Nakhra assume the role of healer and midwife but are very protective of their positions in society. She dwells with her husband in the Iron Citadel in the Orcrift on Infernia.
SHAGRAT (The Taskmaster)- god of slavery and domination. Shagrat is the unscrupulous orcish deity of slaves and domination of the weak. He is untrusted by the other orc powers and tends to stay by himself most of the time unless the whole orc race is threatened. He delights in torment and resides in an oppressive citadel of stone and iron called the Doomprisons on the plane of Netherworld. He is favored by orc rogues and assassins and has the rank of lesser god.
UGDHAR (The Unnamed One)- god of fear, ugliness and betrayal. Ugdhar is the orcish god of fear and is patron of orcs that live on the fringe of society or are outcast from the clan. The god appears as a horribly disfigured orc brute and priests dedicated to the Unnamed One will often undergo some form of ritual scarring as a pledge of their allegiance. Ghereg greatly mistrust Ugdhar but likes to keep him on a short leash in order to keep an eye on him. He has the rank of lesser god and resides in the fabled Tower of Terror in the Orcrift on Infernia, a tower said to reach impossible heights haunted by the screaming orc souls of the damned.
