The lands known as Fenmarch are a defensive fief territory under the control of the throne of Argonak. The march was created almost 200 years ago to protect the northern frontiers against the hostile human infestations from the South. The margrave controls the land between the River Garnock in the west and the Scragwood to the east. The Margravate has been held by the same hobgoblin clan for years and is actually more politically stable than Argonak. The land is mainly open field and rough tundra bottled in by an expansive swampland originating from the Garnock and Stagflow confluence. The climate is cool year round with heavy snow during the mid-Winter months.

The Lord of the March is a nasty hobgoblin with the skills of a ranger. Izilek is a big, powerful brute though rather shrewd in terms of military strategy. He relies on the marches own natural defenses, particularly the Mirkmarsh along the southern borders. The marsh is teeming with all sorts of foul beasts and is rumored to harbor a powerful cult of Sursi, the disease goddess.

The military forces of Fenmarch are well armed and armored and consist of both hobgoblin and human contingents. The margrave also uses the goblin rabble as missile fodder and scout troops.
