The wizardess known as Magdalise the Red is a powerful enchantress and member of the famed Indigo Order. She was born in the land of Helacar almost forty years ago, the daughter of a minor cleric in the church of Anarya. Her father wished his daughter to follow in his footsteps and enter the Anaryan faith as a novice but Magdalise had other ambitions.

Magdalise is a woman of obvious charm and beauty. She enjoys using her pleasing appearance to obtain what she needs or what she feels is the greater good. She has fair skin, long red hair and generally prefers wearing tight bodices embroidered wtih intricate design and beadwork. She will often prefer to wear some piece of red clothing.

She has become quite proficient in the use of the quarterstaff but prefers to use her magical abilities as a specialist enchanter to overcome the will of her opponent. Her favorite tactic is to charm the strongest fighters of an enemy force and have them turn against their comrades or to simply wonder aimlessly away from the combat. If faced with an obviously powerful foe, or one immune to her enchantments, she can evoke a lightning bolt in the blink of an eye that generally makes quick work of her enemies.

Magdalise the Red is a passionate spellcaster as well as an accomplished singer. She enjoys using her powers to stir the commonfolk into action and to inflame their hearts with courage. She appears soft spoken and demure at all times and rarely shows any signs of anger unless she witnesses a great injustice first hand.
