Description: Krayven Helgard is a roguish looking male though something about his presence is somewhat unsettling to those meeting him for the first time. His eyes blaze red when he is angered and his front canine teeth are pointed. Some might mistake him for a vampire but he is actually a tiefling, a planetouched creature with an fiendish ancestry. Krayven is quite handsome with dark, wavy hair that his grows to the shoulders. He always wears well-tailored clothing of expensive materials to showcase his station in life as the ruler of a small city-state. Krayven is 5'11" and weighs 170 pounds. He is 29 years of age.
Personality: Despite his attractive physical appearance, Krayven is evil through and through. He is highly materialistic and loves spending his money freely on useful trinkets and collectables. He is also exceptionally egotistical and believes himself to be an authority on almost any subject and loves being the center of attention (which is all the time if he has his way). Krayven is power-hungry and enjoys being in a position of authority. Though evil in nature, Krayven doesn't necessarily wish other creatures harm but he will not let anyone get in his way or prevent him from getting what he wants.
Background:Krayven Helgard is a consummate politician. What he lacks in intelligence and wisdom, he makes up for in charisma, grace and charm. He was elevated to the Office of the Regent three years ago (his enemies claim as a result of significant bribes) and has vowed to retain this office indefinitely if he can. The regent relies heavily on his Council of Emissaries for the actual day-to-day planning and running of the city and uses a specially selected team of secret police to enforce his will and spy upon his political enemies.
Krayven's actual ancestry is somewhat obscured. The regent claims to be the son of a minor Pelinorean nobleman from the farside of the Dreadwood but this is most likely untrue. It is widely believed that his father was a tiefling woodsman hired by a regional authority to work as a bounty hunter. His mother was a beautiful maiden from Waterston who worked as a travelling minstrel. Krayven has no brothers or sisters.
Krayven Helgard is one of the youngest people ever to hold the position of Regent.
