Description: Gheldria is a beautiful female dark elf with ebony skin and bone white hair that falls just below her shoulder. She is shapely and full-figured with piercing amber-colored eyes. Her beautiful smile hides a venomous tongue for she is evil through and through despite her appearance. She is 4'6" tall and weighs a mere 86 pounds. She is 673 years of age.

Personality Profile: Gheldria is a well of dark emotion. She is vain, hateful, cunning and deceitful. In other words, she is a perfect speciman of dark elvenhood. Gheldria has learned to trust no one, not even her own family, almost to the point of paranoia. She is a shrewd manipulator and a cunning strategist, however, and is wise enough to suspect even a close ally of possible treachery. She loves making underlings suffer and delights to dishing out pain and fear all in the name of her dark goddess.

Background: Gheldria learned a lot from her mother, the former Grand Matriarch of the most prominent house in Morthindhal. When still just a princess of House Llandriss, Gheldria watched as her mother built up alliances with lesser houses, increase the size of her own noble house through multiple relationships with unsuspecting dark elf males and finance a number of profitable surface raids that greatly increased the size of the house treasury. When the previous First House finally fell out of the favor of Sheolba, House Llandriss was quick to make its move with a strategic lightning strike and a number of key assassinations. The City of Gloom would now have a new First House and a new Grand Matriarch.

Of course, this is how Gheldria liked to operate. Let others do all the work for you and then step in a take the credit. Now that her mother had done all the work to elevate their house to the prime position within the city, she had her mother eliminated and took control of the house and the Grand Matriarchy. Gheldria of course would not be as foolish as her mother was and quickly murdered her closest competition among her other sisters. She never remains with the same male consort for long and watches her many children incessantly in order to prevent any potential act of betrayal, at least from within her own house.

Despite her wickedness and unforgivable acts, Gheldria can at least be commended for being able to hold onto her ill-gotten gains for this long. She has remained Grand Matriarch for almost three and half centuries and in this time has only added to her house's principle wealth and prestige. It is rumored that she is searching for a way to cement her position of authority against all possible threats. Strange tales of an ancient artifact of powerful earth magic have made their way into her throne room. It is said that this device could create powerful tremors and earthquakes that would cause the ceiling of the dark elf cavern to come crashing down upon the city. If Gheldria obtained such a device, no one would dare challenge her less they risk the possibility of the entire destruction of their homeland.
