Eadric is the young boy King of Galorand, having succeeded his father following a brief regency where his stepmother sat upon the throne of the island kingdom while Eadric was in his minority. Once Eadric reached the age of 18, his stepmother made an unsuccessful attempt to seize control and prevent her stepson from his rightful inheritance. The Dowager Queen failed of course due mostly from the efforts of the boy-king's advisor, the mage Morgalad.

Having banished his stepmother to her ancestral lands in the far northeastern corner of the island, Eadric now tries to heal his kingdom of the damage caused by Queen Bardha. The King is aided in this task by a number of close associates known as the Knights of Ravengard who serve as both bodyguards and personal confidantes.

Description: Eadric is a male human of Aldari-Filani descent. He is 5'10" and weighs 180 pounds. He has straight, chestnut colored hair and brown eyes. Eadric prefers keeping the 'royal trappings' of state to a minimum but will usually be wearing his magical chain shirt beneath a velvet tabbard displaying the Royal Court of Arms. The king is 26 years of age.

Personality: Eadric is an extroverted personality with a great love of life and an optimistic outlook on life despite the many hardships he has already faced. His father the king taught young Prince Eadric the importance of honor and duty but also compassion for the lives of his subjects and Eadric tries to incorporate these teachings during his reign. Eadric was greatly disheartened when he was betrayed by his stepmother, the Dowager Queen. Though she was always somewhat distant to him when he was young, he never imagined she would have tried to betray her former husband's memory by attempting to usurp the throne. The king has no hatred toward her but certainly does not trust her and attempts to contain her influence to the small region of the island long held by her noble house.

Combat:
King Eadric, despite his younger age, is a formidable opponent having experienced many things during his formative years. He will always be found carrying a number of powerful magical devices which also serve as royal heirlooms. These include his magical sword and shield which have aided the king a number of times during times of trouble.

At the beginning of combat, Eadric will attempt to augment his fighting prowess through the use of his heroism spell before charging his opponent. He will always try to take full advantage of his Spring Attack feat whenever possible dodging and moving just out of an enemy's reach. The powers of his ring and his shield help protect him from many spell effects allowing him to concentrate on fighter-types in combat. If given the opportunity, he will try to use his suggestion spell upon an enemy spellcaster.

Very rarely will the King ever be alone and often will be accompanied by a number of his Knights or perhaps his Royal Mage.
