Physical Description: Aelfric is a typical Filani male. He stands 6'3" in height and weighs 190 pounds. He has dark blonde hair which he keeps cut short and a neatly trimmed beard and moustache. He has an athletic build.
Personality Profile: Aelfric has a strong personality and can be viewed as somewhat gruff and forthright to those he first meets. For the most part he is a kind enough man and takes the welfare of his people very seriously. However, as a Chaotic neutral character, he is also willing to do just about anything to achieve his goals. He would prefer to do things his own way and lives by the motto "if you want something done right you have to do it yourself." The king is an able drinker and enjoys a bit of strong ale on a regular basis though he rarely drinks to excess. He is somewhat of a free spirit and believes in allowing his people to live as they please with minimal government intrusion.
Background: Aelfric ascended the throne of Uldania thirteen years ago when he was a mere 24 years of age. His elderly father, though still fit for a man his age, died in a battle against maruading orcs from the Spineridge Mountains leaving the throne to his only son. Aelfric knew this day would come at some time when he would have to assume the responsibility of government but just didn't realize it would come so soon. He loved his father even though the two were emotionally distant and rules out of respect for him. He would much prefer to continue his first love as a soldier and fighter combating the nations many enemies from the west. Aelfric now relies on guidance from his wise mother the queen, herself a powerful druid in her own right.
The king's primary goal is to convince the surrounding allied nations of Hibernia and Hyland that the growing threat from Mordregia may one day threaten them all. He would like for these nations to send more in terms of military support to strengthen the western frontiers against the hordes of undead. So far his requests and those of his ambassadors seem to have fallen upon deaf ears.
