Most of the intelligent species of Hyerune observe a simple twelve month calendar based on the solar movements. Each of these months is exactly thirty days in length subdivided into seven day periods known as 'weeks' or 'septarchs.' In addition to the twelve months, there are also two festival periods lasting for three days each. These festivals occur every six months- one in Mid-Summer and the other in Mid-Winter. These days count out to a total of 366 days which is the length of one solar year.

Throughout this cycle of days, Hyerunean Astrologers will also track the waxing and waning cycles of the two moons that orbit the planet. These lunar cycles often mark special events on the calendar including unusual celestial phenomena as well as dates of religious significance.
Only the elves of Hyerune follow a different calendar system. Since they are much longer lived, they feel it is unnessarily to mark off the years in 12-period time and therefore use a simpler 4-period system marked by the passing of the seasons. The four Elven Seasons are called "Awakening" (Spring), "Evergreen" (Summer), "Retreating" (Fall) and "Silversnow" (Winter).
As a common point of reference, elves are aware of the 12-month calendar system as well. Furthermore, all races acknowledge the seven days of the week. These days are called- Sunday, Moonday, Twosday, Holyday, Therasday, Highday and Starday. Sunday and Holyday are generally considered days of rest while Holyday is often spent in quiet reflection or attending the local temple services to pay homage to the gods.
